A Memory Cafe is a monthly gathering of individuals with memory loss along with their caregivers, friends, and/or family in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. First and foremost, it is a social gathering - an opportunity to make new friends and interact without fear of embarrassment or being misunderstood. Memory Cafe features music, movement, props, and visuals to engage the senses, stimulate memory, and encourage storytelling. Memory Cafe helps build self-esteem, restore integrity and identity, improve relationships, and combat anxiety and depression. Participants may engage as little or as much as they like. Facilitated by Hillary K. Green, Esq., LSW.
