Let your ears and hearts open to the specific voice of Pittsburgh. Spend a lively and informative afternoon learning about a handful of prominent Pittsburgh poets, then spend time with our presenters -- Nancy Koerbel and Frank Lehner -- calling on your Pittsburgh voice and eye to create a poem of your very own. The gathering will be uplifting, low-stress, fun, collaborative, and fulfilling. None of Yinz are going to want to miss this.
Nancy Koerbel writes poems and essays and teaches writing at the University of Pittsburgh. She holds an MFA from the Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College. Her work most recently appeared in One and Redactions.
Frank Lehner is a poet, award-winning book designer, folk artist, and playwright out of Pittsburgh, PA. His full-length book of poems, Mrs. Nusssbaum’s Monkey, is from Bottom Dog Press (2025). Find him at franklehner.com.
