A Storytime for Ages 2 through Kindergarten
Let’s Blast Off is a specially designed storytime experience for children ages 2 through kindergarten. It offers a structured yet lively environment where young learners explore stories, songs, rhymes, and interactive activities that build early literacy skills. It’s fun, engaging, and developmentally rich — helping preschoolers grow a love for books, language, and learning.
🌟 What Kids Will Do
- Name Recognition — Children begin by finding their name tags, practicing early letter recognition and print awareness.
- Public Speaking Practice — Each child introduces themselves to the group, building confidence and communication skills.
- Story Exploration — We’ll soar into wonderful books and explore our sight word of the day to strengthen early reading foundations.
- Listening & Engagement — Children listen to and participate in our weekly story, developing attention, comprehension, and imagination.
- Social Play — As we “return to the universe,” kids interact, make new friends, and discover connections through play and shared learning.
🎨 Craft Time
But the excitement doesn’t stop there! After the story, children get creative with a hands‑on craft that ties directly into the book of the week. This adds a tactile, imaginative layer to the experience and helps reinforce comprehension through art.
