Come Dance with me: A Beginners Dance Class With Robin Emmerling

Have you wanted to learn how to dance but found that many beginner classes still move too fast and intimidate you? Do you just want to build a better relationship with your body and its movement? This class is built for the true beginner! Moving at a pace attuned to the students, we will learn through stretching and conditioning, the basics of ballet and contemporary dance technique, somatic exercises, and improvisation. Students will learn movement from the inside, developing strength and coordination to help build a sense of confidence and mastery. Robin Emmerling was born and raised near Pittsburgh and began dancing at a young age. As their training deepened, their interest turned to somatics and martial arts, which now shapes how they move and teach dance. They have worked as a teaching artist for Attack Theatre and are informed by a dedicated 5 Rhythms and conscious dance practice. Come dance with me is among a series of new workshops they are teaching in the Pittsburgh area. Drop in rate: $25 per class Class Pass: 6 classes for $125 Register
